One killed, nurse abducted in Ekiti state
Mrs Margaret Aladenika who works at the Federal Teaching Hospital in
Ido/Osi LGA of Ekiti state was kidnapped by some hoodlums while she was
driving with her husband along the Ido-Ipere road on Sunday May 3rd.
The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Majekodunmi Ayodele, who revealed this to our correspondent at a press conference in the hospital premises today May 7th, said no word has been heard from her abductors.

“Up untill now, no telephone call has been received from the
kidnappers and this calls for serious concern. Her whereabouts is
unknown. But her husband was brought here because after the incident his
blood pressure had risen. We have succeeded in stabilising him but he
has yet to be discharged.”
Ayodele said, “Whatever we are doing here is being guided by the
regulations of the Federal Character Commission. We have a quota to
fill. But as we speak, Ekiti and particularly Ido Ekiti, had overshot
its quota and even the FCC ought to prosecute us for this.
