An official of the Lagos Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA), got more than what he bargained for in the hands of some workers of a company in Ikorodu area of Lagos, when his over zealousness led to him being beaten to a pulp. More photos after the cut....




Maybe another story would be told now if not for some sympathizers rescued him from the hands of the irate staff who felt the man's excesses were too much for them to bear.

An eye witness who recorded the scene, posted on his twitter handle narrating how the official of the traffic maintaining agency had gone after a company driver who had flouted a traffic law right into the premises of the company, apparently to get the man arrested.

According twitter user who goes by the handle, @biggyli, the LASTMA official had trailed the vehicle who broke traffic rules but was trying to dodge being arrested. 

"The defaulting driver who was driving the company vehicle was said to have quickly driven into the premises of his company in a bid to avoid the LASTMA official meeting up with him and punishing/fining him for disobeying traffic rules.
However, the LASTMA official followed him into the premises of the company and an argument ensued.
It was in the process that the LASTMA official was beaten blue-black before sympathizers came to his rescue."

The Fleeting Nature of Time

As I scrolled through the faded photograph, the faces of my former classmates stared back at me - a relic from a time long passed. There was Ms. Sola, our teacher, standing resolute in the center, her stern gaze commanding our rapt attention.
