"Riches and Woes"

Nigeria, land of plenty,

Rich in resources, yet poorly managed,

Intelligent minds abound,

But potential untapped, and underinvested.

Eloquent leaders speak,

Of people's needs, and broken records,

But service and action lag,

Leaving progress unclaimed, and unexplored.

Political celebrities rise,

Overnight, in a flurry of fame,

But disengage, and disappear,

Leaving the people to bear the blame.

Religiosity runs deep,

But faith often fails to translate,

Into tangible care, and love,

For our shared humanity, and collective fate.

Oh, Nigeria, land of paradox,

Where abundance and lack entwine,

Where intelligence, and eloquence,

Fail to yield, a better design.

Let us bridge the gaps,

Between resources, potential, and achievement,

Let us invest, in our people,

And effective governance, with true leadership.

Let us harness, our records,

And claim the benefits, of our toil,

Let us engage, and remain concerned,

For the welfare, of our collective soil.

Let us translate, our faith,

Into tangible care, and love,

For our shared humanity, and collective fate,

And build a Nigeria, where all can thrive.
