US Secretary of State, John Kerry-led delegation to arrive in Nigeria Friday, May 29

President Obama of United States of America has sent some delegation down to Nigeria for the swearing-in ceremony of Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice-president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo to Office.

The delegation, to be led by Secretary of State, John Kerry will attend the event in Abuja as representatives of President Barack Obama who will be absent.


This was disclosed via a statement released on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, by the US Department of State.

Other members of the delegation include US Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle, basketballer, Hakeem Olajuwon, Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Linda Thomas-Greenfield and General David M. Rodriguez, Commander, US Africa Command (USAFRICOM) among others.
